Being a Roman Catholic, a lifelong journey with many challenges means nothing without belief. Belief in anything especially religion requires having faith which involves accepting certain truths. Being a believer or having faith implies taking God at His word and accepting God’s offer of love and concern for us. We should live out that acceptance with our minds, jobs and friendships.
Being a member of the church means that you hand yourselves over to the Lord who stands behind the creed. It also means that you need to have a personal commitment. Religious faith is a personal relationship with God while learning all that you can. As your relationship grows and matures, there will be challenges to our selfishness and superficiality. The struggle to understand and to accept is part of the life of faith. God gives us sacraments, prayer and graces to lead us through every problem that we have.
