Our Mission Statement
We welcome and respect with joy and thanksgiving the Lord’s call to our children to worship as members of the Body of Christ. It is our mission, in keeping with the desire of the Church to lead these children of faith to full conscious and active participation in the liturgical celebrations. It is our belief that such participation by these Christian people as “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people” is a right and duty by reason of their baptism. As the liturgy is the indispensable source from which the faithful are to derive the true Christian spirit, we accept the responsibility and privilege, along with their parents, to facilitate their liturgical participation.
It is the aim of the children's liturgy committee that all who are made children of God by faith and Baptism, are enabled to come together to praise God in the midst of His Church, to take part in the sacrifice, to receive the Lord's Supper and to be enriched by it's effects as much as their age, stage of religious development, and ability to comprehend allow.
