The Office of Divine Worship urges all Catholics to heed the travel advisories of their cities and towns, and to stay off the roads during the peak hours of the storm and plow operation. The faithful are encouraged to use good judgment when planning to travel to Mass. Hopefully the storm will have passed on Saturday, and roadways will be clear for travel on Sunday. In the event that roadways are not clear for travel on Sunday, the faithful are reminded that the obligation to attend Sunday Mass does not apply when there is grave difficulty in fulfilling this obligation. (See Code of Canon Law, Canon 1248 §2)

If you would like to sponsor a family in need, please call the rectory by November 23rd. The distribution of gifts will be Sunday, December 22nd. Please return gifts early, insuring distribution in time for Christmas. The gift tag must be securely fastened to your wrapped gift. Please note your tag number somewhere separately and if you lose your gift tag, please call the rectory as soon as possible so you can get a replacement. If you purchase something not designated for a specific person, please do not wrap the item so we can be sure to give it where it is most needed. Special donations can be sent to us through the rectory and are kept confidential. Thank you in advance for your sacrifice and generosity.

Attached is a letter to the faithful from Cardinal O’Malley, concerning a recent ruling from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). As the letter indicates, the HHS ruling presents a very serious threat to religious liberty for Catholics and all people of good faith. Please read:
